This page describes how your personal data is handled when you use this website, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This English translation is provided for convenience: in the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
Who is the data controller?
The publisher of this website, identified in the legal notice. Contact: contact@lavillachristal.fr
What data do we collect, and why?
When you send a booking request, we receive: first name, last name, email address, phone number, country, requested dates, group composition (adults, children and their ages where relevant) and your message.
- Purpose: to reply to your booking request, and nothing else.
- Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR).
- How it works: your request is sent by email to the owner; it is not stored in the website’s database. An acknowledgement is sent to you automatically.
- Recipients: the owner of Villa Christal and, for the organisation of your stay, the local property manager (NLC Conciergerie Sarlat). Your data is never sold or passed to third parties for commercial purposes.
Retention period
Request emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and then, where a booking is made, for as long as required to manage the stay and meet legal obligations. Requests that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 12 months at the latest.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If an audience measurement tool were ever added, this page would be updated beforehand.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection over your data. To exercise them, write to us: christalsarlat@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL, cnil.fr).
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Booking requests are not stored on the website, which limits the risks in the event of an incident.
