The villa and its amenities

Why is “Villa Christal” spelt with “Ch”?

The name Villa Christal is a blend of the first names Christian and Chantal. The “Ch” spelling is deliberate and is the official name of the house in Sarlat-la-Canéda. It is sometimes searched as “Villa Cristal” or “Villa Crystal”, but the correct spelling is Villa Christal.

How many guests can stay at Villa Christal?

The villa sleeps up to 6 guests, adults and children included. It offers 3 bedrooms with queen-size beds — one configurable as a double bed or twin beds — and 3 bathrooms. A travel cot and a high chair are available for the youngest guests. Discover the bedrooms and amenities.

What are the main amenities of the house?

A fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, coffee machine), a pool table, a television, a washing machine, and high-speed fibre Wi-Fi throughout with two workspaces for remote working. Outside: a covered terrace, garden furniture, a gas barbecue and a private pool. This holiday villa in Sarlat-la-Canéda is designed for family stays. View photos of the villa.

Is bed linen provided? Is end-of-stay cleaning included?

Yes. Beds are made up on arrival, and bed linen and towels are provided. End-of-stay cleaning is included: we simply ask you to leave the house tidy when you check out.

Pool and outdoor areas

Is the pool at Villa Christal entirely private?

Yes. The pool is strictly private, for the exclusive use of guests throughout their stay: you share it with no one. It is one of the great advantages of this Sarlat villa with private pool. Everything about the pool and outdoor areas.

How is the pool secured?

The pool has a pool safety cover, kept closed outside swimming times. A pool technician maintains the pool during stays. Children remain under their parents’ supervision and responsibility at all times.

Can the pool be heated?

Yes. The pool has a heat pump. Pool heating is available on request and is subject to certain conditions, particularly the season and the weather. No specific water temperature can be guaranteed when outdoor conditions are unfavourable. Contact us before your stay to find out what applies.

When can the pool be used?

The pool is used during the warmer months. In early and late season, the heat pump may, on request and under certain conditions, extend comfortable swimming depending on the weather. Tell us your dates in your booking request: we will confirm what is possible for your stay.

Is parking private?

Yes — a real comfort in Sarlat. The property has private parking for two cars at the entrance and a second, enclosed private car park below. You will not need to look for a space in town. Plan your arrival in Sarlat.

Arrival, stay and booking

What are the check-in and check-out times? How do we collect the keys?

Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out by 10 am. Keys are handed over by our local property manager, available 7 days a week, or via a secure key safe for late arrivals: mention your timing in your booking request.

Can Villa Christal be booked direct?

Yes. The form on this site sends a direct booking request, which we confirm in writing after checking the actual availability — the calendar, synchronised with Airbnb, remains indicative. You can also book through Airbnb, our main platform, with online payment and its protections. Check availability.

Is a deposit or security deposit required?

Yes. A 30% booking deposit confirms the booking; the balance is due no later than 30 days before arrival. A €1,500 security deposit is requested before check-in: it is not cashed and is returned after departure. Tourist tax is added to the price of the stay (€1.76 per night per adult). Read the booking terms.

What are the main house rules?

The house is strictly non-smoking and pets are not allowed. Parties and events are not allowed, and quiet is requested after 10 pm. These simple rules keep the house immaculate for every family who stays.

How do we keep the house cool in summer?

In hot weather, we recommend keeping shutters and windows closed during the day, especially on the sunny side of the house. Air the house early in the morning and in the evening, when the outside air is cooler. Avoid opening the large glass doors during the hottest hours to limit incoming heat.
